This Privacy Policy applies to Crewze, including the mobile app, our public website, support forms, and related services.
It applies to information processed when you create an account, customize a profile, join or manage crews, upload content,
use memberships, submit support requests, or interact with route and location features.
2. Information we collect
- Account information, such as email address, phone number, username, display name, sign-in method, and account identifiers.
- Profile information, such as profile media, backgrounds, social links, bios, favorite spots, and vehicle information you choose to add.
- Crew and social activity, such as crew memberships, invites, route context, saved destinations, and activity associated with group features.
- Messages and media, including content you upload, share, or store through Crewze features.
- Location information, if you grant permission, including current location, saved places, destination context, and location-sharing state.
- Membership and transaction metadata, such as subscription tier, entitlement status, and App Store purchase metadata supplied by Apple.
- Support and diagnostic information, such as messages you send through support, app version, device details, crash information, and operational logs.
3. How we use information
- to create and maintain your Crewze account and profile;
- to provide crew, messaging, profile, media, and route-related features;
- to enable location-aware features that you choose to use;
- to process memberships and apply feature access tied to subscription state;
- to respond to support requests, moderation reports, and account questions;
- to monitor reliability, prevent abuse, investigate misuse, and enforce our rules;
- to improve the product, debug issues, and maintain platform safety.
4. Permissions and device access
Crewze may request access to location services, notifications, microphone, camera, photo library, or similar device features
when a feature depends on them. You can manage these permissions through your device settings. If you do not grant a permission,
certain features may be limited or unavailable.
5. Location data
If you grant location access, Crewze may process location information to support saved places, destinations, route context,
location sharing, and navigation-adjacent features. Background location, if enabled by you, is used only for features that require
continued updates when the app is not in the foreground.
6. Sharing and third-party services
Crewze may share information with infrastructure and service providers that help operate the service, such as hosting,
storage, authentication, messaging, mapping, payments, analytics, and media services. These providers may include Apple,
Firebase, and other vendors needed to run the app and website. Crewze may also disclose information when reasonably necessary
to comply with legal obligations, protect users, investigate abuse, or enforce our Terms of Service.
7. User content, reports, and moderation
Content you upload or submit through Crewze may be processed so we can host, display, transmit, moderate, and secure the service.
Reported content, abuse-related signals, and enforcement history may be reviewed and retained as needed to protect users,
investigate misuse, and enforce our community and service rules.
8. Data retention
Crewze retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, support moderation,
resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and preserve operational integrity. Retention may vary depending on the type of data,
whether the data is tied to an active account, whether it is needed for billing or abuse prevention, and whether the information is part of backups or logs.
9. Security
Crewze uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to help protect information from unauthorized access,
misuse, loss, alteration, or disclosure. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your choices and rights
- update profile and account information inside the app where those controls are available;
- manage device permissions through system settings;
- manage subscriptions through your Apple account;
- request help with privacy, deletion, or support issues through Crewze support.
You can delete your Crewze account in the app from Settings > Security & Login > Delete Profile.
If you cannot access the app and need help with deletion or another privacy request, use the Crewze support page.
11. Children's privacy
Crewze is not intended for children who are not old enough to use the service under applicable law.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to Crewze inappropriately, contact us through support so we can review the issue.
12. International processing
Crewze and its service providers may process information in different jurisdictions depending on where systems and vendors operate.
By using the service, you understand that information may be transferred to and processed outside your home jurisdiction,
subject to applicable operational and legal safeguards.
13. Changes to this policy
Crewze may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version here and update the date above.
Continued use of Crewze after changes take effect means the updated policy will apply.
